'Akshardham' refers to God's heavenly home and is praised as an eternal haven of adoration, purity, and tranquillity. The majesty and wisdom of the temple, which spans an area of more than 86,000 square feet, are best appreciated in person. The temple thoroughly understands Hinduism's core principles and diverse traditions practised throughout history.

A Mandir is an abode of God, a Hindu place of worship, and a spiritual and cultural campus devoted to devotion, education, and peace. Its art and architecture echo the timeless Hindu spiritual messages, strong devotional traditions, and historic architecture. THINGS TO DO AT AKSHARDHAM:

 • Experience the spirituality that permeates every aspect of the Mandir: Akshardham is a spiritually enlightening place to visit. Each element has a spiritual meaning, whether it is in understanding the effectiveness of prayer, sensing the power of nonviolence, realising the universality of Hinduism's founding ideals, or simply appreciating the beauty of God's habitation on Earth. The main temple was constructed entirely out of pink stones and white marble. It is exquisite, embellished with domes, carved pillars, and 20,000 murtis (statues). The audio-animatronics production Hall of Values (Sahajanand Pradarshan) spreads wisdom and the real purpose of living life by upholding ahimsa, non-violence, vegetarianism, morality, and harmony. • Akshardham offers a remarkable spectacle of Yagnapurush Kund Musical Fountains: The breathtaking performances last 24 minutes and tell the Kena Upanishad story, illustrating the interdependence of God, nature, and humanity. The presentation is exciting due to the use of multicoloured lasers, underwater flames, video projections, and water jets. • The theatre inside the Mandir is an exciting experience and offers you a new outlook on life: The Akshardham Temple in New Delhi, one of the world's most magnificent places of worship, is a striking example of how modern technology and conventional architectural styles may coexist. Giant Screen Film (Neelkanth Yatra runs the story of Neelkanth Varni, a young yogi. The movie is unique in its genre and is the first large-format film produced in India. Interestingly, the film included almost 40,000 people and was filmed in 108 locations. • The 15-minute boat ride on the Akshardham Temple Lake is pure, limitless fun: When visiting Akshardham, one should not skip the boat trip (Sanskruti Vihar). It will be like taking a 12-minute journey through 10,000 years of Indian history. You'll experience everything, from Vedic life to Takshashila and a period of prehistoric discoveries. You could also plunge into the nearby lake or spend a few soulful hours listening to the wonderful hymns and mystic chants filling the air. • Stroll around the Garden of India (Bharat Upvan): Well-kept lawns and gardens enhance the complex's charm with bronze statues. Yogihriday Kamal is a unique lotus that symbolises good fortune. Chanting and prayers are performed when water is poured on the Neelkanth Varni statue in the Abhishek Mandap.
