Summer is almost ready to knock on the door. It’s best to plan a summer retreat amidst the forested hills or mountain peaks where you can chill in lovely weather and picturesque surroundings. Why not take a trip to an Indian hill station this summer and explore some of the exotic attractions of this diverse country.
A hill station tucked away in the northern part of West Bengal, Darjeeling is known for its tea plantations and snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Explore the emerald hills covered with tea plants and hop on the Toy Train (Darjeeling Himalayan Railway) to enjoy the panoramic views of this beautiful place.

Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, is nestled among the Khasi Hills in the northeastern region of India. This city receives the highest rainfall in the world. Its distinct culture, cuisine, and breathtaking sights of mountains and waterfalls are worth taking a trip to this hill station.

Situated in the southern part of India, Coorg is an aromatic hill station with coffee, tea, and spice plantations covering most of its landscape. Also called the “Scotland of India,” Coorg is a misty destination with pleasant weather all year round. You will find lots of flowers and greenery here no matter where you wander off.

Famously knows as Dalai Lama’s Home, Mcleodganj is a treat to the eyes. With lovely sights of mountain peaks, waterfalls, and colorful monasteries and shops, this Indian hill station will make you fall in love with its hypnotizing beauty.

Located amidst the Kumaon range in the state of Uttarakhand, Nainital has been a favorite hill station for hundreds of years. The fantastic mountain views, local bazaar, and water bodies make it a perfect holiday destination.
