The name Tibidabo comes from Latin; it means “I will give to you,” and feels like magic. It is the place that locals go to feel above it all, both literally and figuratively. At the very top, you are greeted by the neo-Gothic Temple of the Sacred Heart, which stands as a fairytale castle with 237 steps leading to the Temple. Nearby, a little old-fashioned amusement park that has been delighting families since 1901, the Mont-Royal park, where the lure of hiking, taking the funicular to the top, or riding the classic blue tram, is a magic ride in itself.
